Meet the SAAM Team
SAAM began with Fiona, Lindsey, and Dawn — three adoptees brought together by a shared drive to speak truth and push for change. Later, Sarah joined the team, and our voice grew stronger.
In 2024, we sadly lost Dawn — our friend, fellow adoptee, guide, and passionate advocate. Her courage, clarity, and deep belief in justice continue to shape everything we do. She is with us in every step forward.
Since those early days, others have joined the movement — listening, learning, and helping build a community of strength, care, and determination.
We may be campaigning for serious change, but along the way we’ve found friendship, laughter, and moments of light. These photos reflect that — a journey of growth, solidarity, and hope.
We are adoptee-led. We are still learning. And we are here to stay — fighting for truth, dignity, and human rights for all adoptees, we are growing as more ambassadors join the call for action in support
of Adoptee Rights UK.
Join as we share our moments and memories made with friends and fellow supporters, and of course SAAMs Head of Public Relations, Pretzel...

🗣️ Support the Rights of Adoptees – Take Action Now
The Scottish Adult Adoptee Movement (SAAM) is fighting for truth, justice, and lifelong dignity for all adopted people — but we can't do it alone. If you believe every person deserves the right to know who they are, access their full legal history, and be free from lifelong legal fictions, we need your voice.
Here’s how you can support the campaign:
🔁 Share our message
🌐 Spread the word
📝 Write to your elected representatives
📣 Raise awareness
🧾 Support our demand
This is not just about the past. It’s about the legal status,
and human rights of living adults today.
